San Diego County offers a wide range of inclusive and adaptive recreation opportunities for children, teens, and adults with all abilities. Programs throughout the community include adaptive sports and fitness, social groups, art and dance, cooking, martial arts, sensory-friendly activities, and opportunities to build friendships and independence.
Some programs are designed specifically for individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodivergent participants, while others offer accommodations or sensory-friendly environments. Several may also accept Regional Center funding or support participation through the Self-Determination Program (SDP).
