The training series is designed to help parents and caregivers build their knowledge of Individualized Education Programs and develop practical advocacy skills they can use when supporting their student’s educational needs.

Why IEP Education Matters

An IEP is more than a school document. It is an important tool for identifying a student’s individual educational needs and establishing the services, accommodations, supports, and goals designed to help that student make meaningful progress.

Learning how to participate effectively in the IEP process can help parents and caregivers feel more prepared to ask questions, communicate concerns, understand proposed supports, and advocate for their student.

This virtual training is an opportunity to add another set of tools to your advocacy toolbox, all from home.
